I founded McGowan & Associates in 2001 after serving as a name partner at another prominent Boston-based law firm. Throughout my career, I have tried over 400 cases to verdict. These cases have ranged from premises liability and environmental claims to catastrophic personal injury cases and multi-million dollar fire losses. I serve as counsel to a diverse range of clients such as individuals, business entities, subcontractors, suppliers, general contractors, construction project owners, developers, and construction management firms. My practice primarily focuses on handling various commercial disputes from pre-litigation negotiation through trial.

I started out studying biochemistry but after a year on the morgue collecting tissue samples and doing autopsies I decided to go in a different direction which, was computer programmer/analyst. Then I finally bit the bullet and went to law school. After working in firms and for the NYS Attorney General, I opened up my own practice in 2006 in the Berkshires.
