My clients are business owners who are concerned that they are not complying with employment laws. I work with them to create policies, procedures, and manuals and provide training, investigations, and counseling regarding hiring, firing, and compliance with employment laws. I also work with business owners who want to start, buy, operate, or sell a business or a commercial real estate property.

I am the senior shareholder in Coplen & Banks, PC. I have been practicing law for approximately 35 years, with extensive experience in commercial, insurance, family, probate and personal injury litigation. Because of my education background, my practice is 50% litigation and 50% business transactions, wills, trust and probate.

Sam Haren practices primarily in the area of business litigation. He was born and raised in Belton, Texas. Sam began his career as a securities attorney with Andrews Kurth, LLP from 2007 to 2009. He then took a position with the Texas Finance Commission from 2009 to 2010 where he enforced financial regulations against various types of lenders. In early 2010, Sam returned to private practice in the commercial litigation firm of Fernelius Alvarez PLLC. In 2012, Sam joined Hawash Meade Gaston Neese & Cicack LLP, where he focuses on commercial and insurance litigation.

Brian Humphrey represents individuals and families who have been catastrophically injured or who have lost loved ones in a wide variety of cases, including 18-wheeler collisions, collisions with drunk drivers, industrial accidents, factory or refinery explosions, construction accidents, defective products, premises defects, assaults, and maritime injuries. Brian also represents individuals and businesses in litigation involving commercial sales and leasing, partnership disputes, malfeasance by corporate officers and fiduciaries, fraud and business torts, oil and gas and other real estate disputes, and commercial debts.
