For almost 25 years, I have represented men and women accused of crimes in state and federal courts. Before opening my office, I served as a CIA officer for 5 years. I have also served as a special prosecutor. Very few attorneys have handled as many federal criminal cases as I have. After serving as law clerk on the Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals for two years, entered private practice of law in 1972. Practice includes transactional commercial and residential real estate, small business, wills and estate planning, and franchising law.

I have over 30 years of experience with patent prosecution including patent interferences. I advocate determining the outcome of potential patent interferences before a request for interference is filed. Patent interferences can be identified early in prosecution when reviewing cited references if the reviewer is trained to recognize interfering subject matter. Once identified, an interference proceeding can be focused on the right issues or avoided.

My clients are business owners who are concerned that they are not complying with employment laws. I work with them to create policies, procedures, and manuals and provide training, investigations, and counseling regarding hiring, firing, and compliance with employment laws. I also work with business owners who want to start, buy, operate, or sell a business or a commercial real estate property.
