I am the senior shareholder in Coplen & Banks, PC. Because of my education background, my practice is 50% litigation and 50% business transactions, wills, trust and probate.

I have over 30 years of experience with patent prosecution including patent interferences. I advocate determining the outcome of potential patent interferences before a request for interference is filed. Patent interferences can be identified early in prosecution when reviewing cited references if the reviewer is trained to recognize interfering subject matter. Once identified, an interference proceeding can be focused on the right issues or avoided.
