I have been an Attorney for more than 30 years and a Patent Attorney for more than 17 years. I have obtained patents for clients in a variety of technologies including material handling, optical inspection, detection, identification and measuring technologies as well as medical and dental devices. I provide patent, trademark, copyright and intellectual property services to businesses ranging from large international companies to cutting edge startups and individuals inventors. I focus my litigation practice at Bennett Bigelow & Leedom. on medical malpractice defense and insurance defense litigation. I began my trial practice as a prosecuting attorney in 2007, litigating felony and misdemeanor criminal jury trials. I transitioned to civil litigation in 2010 and expanded my practice to include representing clients in business litigation and personal injury disputes. I am admitted to practice before all Washington and Idaho state and federal courts. I also volunteer as a Board Member on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities Spokane.

Jennifer Brainard graduated from University of Washington School of Law and was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1980. After practicing in the Seattle area for over 20 years she returned to Oak Harbor, Washington, where she grew up. Donald Michael (Mike) Gunning was born in Houston, Texas and as a young child moved to Spokane, Washington.

Michael did his undergraduate work at Eastern Washington University where he graduated with a degree in Economics. Mr. Gunning then went on to receive his Juris Doctor Degree from Gonzaga University Law School.
