Alejandro Acosta

Attorney Alejandro Acosta III is a partner at the firm of Tawney, Acosta & Chaparro, P.C., in El Paso, Texas. An El Paso native, Mr. Acosta dedicates his practice to personal injury law, serving clients New Mexico and Texas.
Mr. Acosta earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, and attained his law degree from the Arizona State Law School/ Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Additionally, he holds an Indian Law Certificate and has worked with various tribal nations in the state of Arizona.
Licensed to practice law since 2008, Mr. Acosta is admitted in Texas and New Mexico. He is also licensed by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Acosta has litigated several cases at the state, federal and appellate levels. He has experience with claims involving automobile accidents, dram shop liability, employment-related injuries, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, premises liability, products liability and wrongful death. He has been involved in significant matters that have appeared in publications, including VerdictSearch and the Advocate, a publication of the State Bar of Texas.
Prior to founding Tawney, Acosta & Chaparro, P.C., Mr. Acosta developed his legal skills and experience by working as a research attorney for a Texas Court of Appeals judge. He then gained further legal experience by working as an associate at a private personal injury law firm.
