Biography

I have spent thirty years representing families and professionals across the United States during times when they need a strong advocate by their side. As a member of the Supreme Court of the United States, as well as the Florida and New York bars, I represent men and women in matters such as high net worth divorce, child custody, international custody disputes, parental alienation cases, divorcing the narcissist, complex high-conflict divorce, family business dissolution, child support, and domestic violence.

In addition to family law, I handle business matters, including providing human resource advice to small businesses, assisting with start-ups, representing businesses before local planning and zoning boards, and drafting articles of incorporation and governing documents.

I take pride in being a dedicated legal advocate for my clients, offering flexible payment plans and financing options for those who qualify. I am also a published author on various legal topics and have experience teaching and speaking on numerous legal subjects.

I provide appellate representation and trial assistance upon request and evaluation.

Q. Child offered seat at STEM magnet program, ex-wife refuses to allow child opportunity. What can father do to get custody
A: You would not need to have majority custody. You would only need to have final decision-making over educational decisions. You could file a motion in the same court where the initial parenting plan or schedule was entered and ask to have it modified or ask to have the court determine if the STEM program is in the best interest of your child. You would want to read whatever Parenting Plan you have to see if there is any language in there you can use before filing anything. You may just want to tell Mom you will do all of the driving or try to come to an agreement with her first. Of course it is best to consult with an attorney on this issue.
Q. How can I get a divorce, but have no idea where other individual resides or what state they live in?
A: I am sorry you are going through this. You can serve the other person by publication. You put it in the newspaper and after a period of time you can obtain a default divorce. There is quite a bit of paperwork that goes along with this so I suggest you ask an attorney to help you with the paperwork.
Q. Why uncontested divorce status is still RJI pending after a year? When will I be granted the divorce?
A: Possibly additional papers need to be filed. Did you file Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law and a proposed judgment? Do you have a Parenting Plan agreed to in writing?
