Biography

Ben King is a Colorado native and third-generation trial attorney. Mr. King attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, Leeds School of Business where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing. Subsequently, he received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Miami’s School of Law in Florida and is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Colorado, and the United States Supreme Court (SCOTUS). Mr. King began his legal career with a prestigious Denver family law firm where he specialized in litigating highly-contested divorces and child custody cases. Additionally, he also has experience in appellate work and has prevailed on issues in both the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court. Mr. King’s practice is solely focused on family law.

Mr. King has received the honorable designation of SuperLawyers Rising Star in 2019. This honor is bestowed on less than 2.5% of the lawyers in Colorado. Ben is also rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and holding "High Ethical Standing." This anonymous peer rated review is reserved as an award for the highest level of professional excellence. Mr. King was recently elected to the Colorado Bar Association’s Executive Council for the Family Law Section.

Introduction to Divorce Issues in Colorado
Second Saturday
Assisted as a volunteer attorney at low cost woman's workshop that covers the legal, financial, and social issues of divorce. We help attendees take the next step by providing unbiased information and resources, no matter where women are in the process of untying the knot. This non-profit workshop serves women experiencing or anticipating divorce by providing an understanding of options available and next steps to take in the dissolution process. Participants also discover community resources available, and additionally, participants have the opportunity to meet with other women experiencing similar life changes.
