A lifelong Floridian, Mr. Abbott was born and grew up in south Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida in both undergraduate studies and law school. Moving to Citrus County right out of law school, he has been serving clients in Citrus County and the surrounding area for his entire legal career. Mr. Abbott is past president of the Citrus County Bar Association. He is married and has two children and three stepchildren. Over the years he has been active in and supportive of youth sports and various civic organizations.
